Products from O'Kane Meats
All our beef is bought locally and is fully traceable back to the farm. We still buy bone in beef and hang it for at least twenty-one days, ensuring tenderness and delicious flavour.
All our pork is bought locally and we receive a fresh delivery five days a week. We are careful to select only the top grades as lesser grades can be fatty , poor tasting and not tender.
All our lamb comes from the Foyle Valley Producers Group. The average weight is 21KG with a grade of E or U, 2 or 3. This insures for tender, lean, quality lamb.
All our whole chickens are sold fresh, but it is our range of value added chicken products that we are most proud of.
All our sausages are made from quality fresh meats. In the last few years we have seen our sales of sausage triple. We put this down to only one thing: making sure that as well as top quality meats, we put our hearts into the sausages. All year round we sell ten different flavours of award winning speciality sausage, which we increase to about twenty during the barbeque season.
As with our sausages, the same rules apply. Only the best quality meats are used in production of our burgers. All year round we sell seven speciality flavours of burgers, with up to twelve during bbq season.
